Arata Asaoka lives with her depressed father, alcoholic and older brother. He was born out of marriage and often suffered from the ridicule of his brother and beatings of his father. This led to isolation and self -doubt. But once Arata meets a young girl who can give him a ray of hope. Her name is Koharu Hinomoto. She was for him the meaning of his whole worthless life, until his family again destroyed his short happiness.
